Los Angeles, California – Over this past weekend (Aug 17-19th), professional Box Lacrosse organizations the Jr Stealth, the Jr Mammoth, Denver Elite and the Cali*Lax ALL-STARS descended upon Los Angeles, California for the first ever USBOXLA Nationals.
For the first time, a US based Girl’s Box Lacrosse team will travel to Canada for a series of exhibition games against Canadian teams. The girl’s version of Box Lacrosse, which is played just like the boy’s game, is the fastest growing segment of lacrosse in Canada. Girl’s Box Lacrosse is a contact sport: body checking and modified ‘push-and-direct’ cross checking are legal (and encouraged!). If you are interested in playing please read on.

Santa Cruz, CA – The Cali*Lax ALL-STARS entered five teams into the 2012 Calgary’s Canada Day Tournament and three of those teams took home hardware. This year also marked a 12 team commitment from US Box Lacrosse Association teams into the tournament, led by Shaydon Santos, NCAA D1 Denver University coaching heavyweight Matt Brown and NLL all-star Lewis Ratcliff.
Santa Cruz, CA – As testament to the quality of lacrosse that the Box Lacrosse Academy and Cali*Lax ALL-STARS produces, Cali*Lax ALL-STARS Logan Rooney is now a Whitby Warrior and a member of the top Junior A Box Lacrosse program in Canada.

The Cali*Lax ALL-STARS continue their winning ways as the Bantam (U14) and Pee Wee (U12) team find success in Everett Washington this past weekend.
The Bantam (U14) team went 4-0 beating the Jr Stealth twice and Canadian Box teams Kamloops and Langley in some hard fought battles. The Bantam team was lead by strong offensive performances by Canadians Ty Yanko and Tre LeClair, with some great defense by California’s Brock Bauer, Zak Zemel and new comer Kevin Jaggers.
The Cali*Lax ALL-STARS traveled to Everett Washington on Jan 28 to battle the Jr Stealth in the Midget (U16) and HS Elite Divisions. The games were played in the Comcast Arena, home of the Washington Stealth.
