The Cali*Lax ALL-STARS Varsity program traveled south to Huntington Beach to take on the best of the Orange County Indoor Lacrosse league in a Goodwill Series over Labor Day weekend.  The Cali*Lax ALL-STARS Varsity program included many of this past summer's Cali*Lax ALL-STARS Midget ('94/'95) aged players who have toured Canada and played in 'real' Box Lacrosse Tournaments.

Program director, 12 year NLL pro and former captain of the San Jose Stealth Shaydon Santos says "our players have been playing in the Box Lacrosse Academy leagues for the last 2 years and know how to play Box Lacrosse.  They know how to break out, line change, run a motion offense, have set power and man shorts and have individual skills field players just don't have."

"When we meet field teams or programs who just play indoor field lacrosse in the off-season we'll always come out on top" says Santos "the games are just too different.  We are Box players and when we play in a box (or indoor) there isn't a program in America  that can touch us at any youth age level.  People are still unsure of what we are doing here in the Bay Area, they'll know once they play us."

The Cali*Lax ALL-STARS rolled through the weekend in Huntington Beach beating the Orange County All-Stars 11-2, 11-4 and 9-4.
